About MIT student

The Consortium for Advanced Simulation of Light Water Reactors (CASL) Institute introduced participants to CASL and the Virtual Environment for Reactor Applications (VERA) framework and component codes. Participants receive instruction on radiation transport, thermal hydraulics, fuel performance, multi-physics coupling, and sensitivity and uncertainty analysis during the summer session. In 2018 CASL held its third annual Summer Institute at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.
