Brian Borman is a MEng – Structural Mechanics and Design student in MIT’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research extends to MIT’s Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering, where he works on structural and thermomechanical design/analysis of reactor core components for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor concept. Brian holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Dayton. Prior to MIT, he worked as a structural designer for Arup and Hanson Professional Services, where he practiced his passion for bridge engineering and structural mechanics.
