Brandon Aranda is a graduate student in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and nuclear science & engineering at MIT and is currently working towards his master’s degree, after which he will continue in the department towards a PhD. His current research is focused on the implementation of Multiphase CFD to study the two-phase flow dynamics in BWRs. He hopes to continue working on the enhancement of natural circulation as a passive safety system for advanced reactors.
